A Plein Air Painting Event and Fundraiser for the Palmyra Fire Company. Monday September 4th - Sunday September 10th, 2023
Please read the festival rules before registering. * Dates: September 4-10, 2023 * Open Entry/Non-Juried event limited to the first 25 paid registrants. Open until slots are filled. * The registration fee is $25. Registration is now open. Register using the form at right. Click "SUBMIT", then return to this page, click "SHOP" >ADD TO CART > CHECKOUT > then use the blue CHECKOUT BUTTON to use credit cards or the G to use Google Pay. Follow the prompts to complete payment. The registration fees collected will be donated to the Palmyra Fire Company. * Email a photo of a sample of your artwork in jpeg format to be included in the brochure. The photo, your name, and the town you are from will be included in the brochure. The photo must be received by July 25th to be included. * Check-in and canvas stamping Monday (Labor Day) 9/4 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Liberio Art - you will get a map, final instructions, plus some other cool stuff. * Canvas Stamping and late check-in are also available Tuesday 9/5 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. (Liberio Art is closed on Wednesday 9/6) * Paint anywhere within the entire town of Palmyra (not just the village, including all of Aqueduct Park) * Paint from Monday to Thursday afternoon. (Rain or Shine) * Maximum artwork size without frame or matting is 20 inches in any direction. * Submit 1-2 paintings for judging and display. * All artwork must be for sale. Price is determined by the artist. 30% commission collected on all sales. 15% of the commission collected will be donated to the Palmyra Fire Company. * Artwork Drop Off Thursday 9/7 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM - must be framed (unless finished as a gallery-wrapped or cradle board painting with finished edges) and ready to hang with wire - no sawtooth hangers. * Judging - Friday Afternoon 9/8 * Judge: Cheryl Leonard Van Denberg * Awards: 1st $100, 2nd $75, 3rd $50, Sponsor’s Choice $100, Palmyra Fire Dept.’s Choice $100, Merit Awards 2 @ $25 each People’s Choice $50, Smitten Award $50 (Award totals may increase if additional sponsorship can be obtained). * Artists & Their Guests Reception Friday Evening 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Awards announced at 7:00 PM. Need not be present. * Presentation of the check to the Fire Company will be Saturday at 11:00 AM * Show & Sale opens to the public: Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM * Open to the public Sunday 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. * Peoples Choice Award will be announced Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM * Unsold Paintings must be be picked up Sunday - 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM or Monday - Noon to 4:00 PM * Checks for sold paintings will be mailed within 10 days of the close of the show.
