I cannot believe I have been open 2 years already. Wowzer! Time sure does fly when you are having fun. I am so thankful and grateful for the welcome I have received from Palmyra and the surrounding area. Your community support means so very much to me. I also want to thank all of my students, new and those who have been with me for a while, for coming out to enjoy my art classes. It gives me joy to see the growth and progress in your artwork. And thank you so much to all of you who have purchased my art. I love seeing a painting going to a new home or being given as a gift. Please join me on the 28th to help me celebrate heading into year #3.

Hello Everyone!
The Paint Palmyra Plein Air Painting Event and Fundraiser for the Palmyra Fire Department was a huge success! I cannot thank you all enough for your support with this event. There was no way it could have been done without you! We raised $875 for the Palmyra Fire Company. They were overwhelmed with the community support and generosity. 14 artists registered for the event and were seen out painting our wonderful town. 33 paintings were submitted for display, judging, and sales. $650 in prize money was awarded to the artists and 9 paintings were sold. 10% of the sales were included in the donation to the fire company. I have decided to make Paint Palmyra an annual event. The artists are excited to return and others who were not able to participate want to next year. The dates will be September 7-11 (Patriot Day). It seems appropriate to raise funds for our first responders that weekend. I hope you will consider joining me for the 2nd Annual Paint Palmyra next September. Thank you again to the artists, sponsors, volunteers, those who came and bought art and the Palmyra Community who made Paint Palmyra a tremendous fundraising event! I am sincerely thankful for you all, Elaine This oil painting was done in 1975. I call it “Grandpa’s Painting”. My Grandpa Cook believed in me at a time I didn’t have much confidence in myself. He paid for my first course at CCFL (now FLCC), Painting 101, and told me I could be whatever I set my heart on. I painted this painting in that class and gave it to him. It hung proudly in their home throughout his life. It now hangs in my home studio, but I plan on hanging it in the new studio that I am preparing to move into in May at 208 E Main St Palmyra NY. I have thought much about my Grandpa and the many others who have influenced and believed in me along the way and I am so thankful. Now as I work behind the scenes getting insurance quotes, designs for signage, picking out paint colors for the walls and so much more, my excitement grows. I wish my grandpa could be here to share in the dream as it unfolds.
Oh my gosh it is really happening! Yesterday, I signed the lease for a storefront studio at 208 E Main St in Palmyra. Liberio Art - Fine Art Studio, Gallery, & Education Center will be moving here May 1st. I am so excited! I will be creating and painting here, teaching classes and workshops, and selling my art! My dream is really happening! And now my website is live. Woo Hoo! A big, big thank you to Angela Possemato of Light Touch Photos for designing and setting it up for me!
